Established in 1992, the company was first known as Atlantis World Casino and was based out of the casino premises. Soon after 1992, the company grew in size with the first establishment of restaurants at the Casino. In 1997 Paradise Casino was added to the group, now known as Atlantis World Group of Companies (AWG) and started attracting crowds of gamers and diners with their international restaurants, buffets and events held on a regular basis. In 2001 Beach Plaza was added to the group of companies represented by Atlantis.

Finally, as part of a diversification process, AWG (Europe) has consulting and a management concession with the Italian Government to monitor certain aspects of the gaming industry in Italy.
